Everett Colburn, Grow-Point's inventor and owner, is a gardening guru. Every year he had the garden the neighbors awed over. Ev was sick and tired of loosing his vegetables to cutworms, being on his hands & knees weeding, and watching his fertilizer be taken away from his plants due to the water runoff. He began with several prototypes before finally having the lightbulb in his head turn on, a ring needs to surround each individual plant. Ev was able to get his product patented, produced, and selling before he knew it.
