Our Low-Temp models provide full heating capabilities down to -15 degrees outside temperature. This means, if your home is the right application, you can use our mini-split heat pumps as your home's sole heating system. I personally have this model installed in my home and have had clean and warm heat all winter long without relying on any form of backup heat.
Green & Clean
Mini-split heat pumps do not create heat (nor cool). They simply transfer the heat already in the air from one spot to another. This is the reason why they are so efficient. What's my point? They use electricity to transfer this heat and electricity only. If you're interested in a net-zero home or are concerned about your energy usage impact, you could look into adding solar. This is the beautiful feature of mini-split systems. Each indoor unit is controlled on it's own with it's own thermostat. What's the big deal? Now instead of setting one temperature for your entire house, you can control each room! Think about turning on the light switch in only the room you use. That makes sense. What doesn't make sense is if you had one light switch to turn on every single light in your house. This is the equivalent to having one thermostat in your house.
